BERNINA Alberton Celebrates their Birthday!

BERNINA Alberton celebrated its birthday, marking the second year since moving to its new location in Bazinga on Penzance.
 
The celebrations spanned over three days, featuring a program filled with demonstrations, quilt exhibitions, and abundant joy and laughter.



Veronika Olivier, a BERNINA influencer, graced the event, captivating sewists with her fabric artwork. In the image, Veronika (left) and Carina are captured, exuding excitement and readiness for the festivities.



Veronika showcased her creative process, using her BERNINA 735 to create textile sculptures. She demonstrated how she intricately stitches wire onto organza fabric to create translucent bee wings for her upcoming surreal bee sculpture destined for an art show in the USA.



Reflecting on her experience, Veronika expressed, “I had an incredible time visiting the BERNINA Alberton branch for their birthday celebration this month. Carina, the owner, graciously invited me to showcase one of my textile sculpting techniques. As an artist accustomed to working alone in my home studio, being surrounded by like-minded individuals was refreshing. Sharing stories about my BERNINA 735, fondly named Optimus Prime, and witnessing the guests' enthusiasm for my unconventional use of the sewing machine in my art was truly inspiring. 

Meeting fans who have followed my journey on social media, and witnessing their excitement, especially when they purchased pieces they've been eyeing, was incredibly rewarding. Today's visit wasn't just about demonstrating my techniques; I also picked up a thing or two from fellow creatives. I'll definitely be returning, drawn by the idea of their social creative club. Thank you, BERNINA, for welcoming me into your family and allowing me to share my passion with such a supportive community.”

Agnes showcased the newly launched BERNINA 790 PRO, leaving everyone in awe of its user-friendly interface and impressive embroidery capabilities. This machine is poised to elevate sewing and embroidery to new heights.
 

All attendees unanimously agreed that the three-day celebration was nothing short of wonderful. Carina and her team from BERNINA Alberton executed an excellent job in ensuring their customers felt truly special by celebrating a special occasion with flair, fun and style.
