BERNINA Dress Your Style 2024 Sew Off Final

From October 7-10, 2024, five talented final-year students showcased their creativity at the BERNINA RSA Final Sew Off.

Upon arrival, they received a challenge along with a fabric kit, tasked with designing, creating patterns, and sewing a layered outfit that could be worn in multiple ways using all four fabrics provided.

Nervous yet excited, the students jumped into action. By the end of the first day, most had completed their fashion drawings and patterns, moving on to cutting and constructing their outfits on the second day. Despite the pressure, the results were nothing short of impressive, with each outfit reflecting the unique personality and fashion style of its creator.

The final judging was led by renowned fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee, who faced the challenging task of selecting two winners from such an exceptional group.

The overall winners are:

1st Prize:
