BERNINA DEALER STITCH TO HOST SEWAPALOOZA FEATURING BETSY CARLSON OCTOBER 31 AND NOVEMBER 1 IN TOLEDO OHIO

BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that Stitch, a BERNINA Dealer in Toledo, Ohio, is hosting two Sewapalooza events on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. BERNINA Educator Betsy Carlson will guide participants through projects using quilting, embroidery and BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite. The cost for each event is $39.95 and includes supplies for three projects, use of BERNINA machines and accessories, lunch, and door prizes. In addition, prizes will be awarded on both days for the best Halloween costumes. The events will take place at the Dealer, located at 4024 N. Holland Sylvania Road #10. BERNINA’s DesignWorks Software Suite is comprised of three components including CutWork, PaintWork, and CrystalWork that turn any embroidery machine into a multimedia tool. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs can be cut from multiple layers of fabric. PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. CrystalWork gives the ability to create crystal appliqué patterns for textiles and garments.
 
Betsy Carlson, from Grand Rapids, Mich., has been a BERNINA Educator and BERNINA machine owner for 20 years. After making her first project, a zippered turtle pillow for pajamas, she was hooked on sewing. Years later, after a career in public relations and being a stay-at-home mom, Betsy started her own business, Nine Patch Sewing Company. She was also president of the West Michigan Quilters’ Guild. As a BERNINA Educator, Betsy enjoys visiting the BERNINA Creative Center in Aurora, Ill., where she continues to learn more about how to use BERNINA machines, accessories and software.
